Praat met ons mee over deze onderwerpen tijdens ASAH’s ‘Good Hair Filmavond’. De film ‘Good Hair’ van de bekende Afro-Amerikaanse comediant Chris Rock vertelt ons vele dingen over ons haar die wij al weten en een aantal dingen die wij niet weten. Zo gaat hij onder andere in op de miljardenindustrie die achter ‘black hair’ zit en laat hij ons zien hoe het haar voor onze ‘weaves’ en ‘wigs’ bij ons terechtkomt. Chris Rock vertoont, rapporteert en becommentarieert zonder oordeel. De film ‘Good Hair’ is een platform geworden waarop zwarte vrouwen openlijk de unieke relatie die zij met hun haar hebben kunnen bespreken. Tijdens de nabespreking zullen wij met het aanwezige publiek proberen te doorgronden waarom velen van ons bereid zijn tijd, geld en moeite te steken in het recht en glad maken van ons haar.
